the Painters of Gavalochori

I’m a Norwegian artist living part time in Crete.  I graduated from the art academy in Trondheim and Florence.  Some years later I started teaching art and design at high school.  After some years teaching I took further studies in graphic design and illustration.

In my abstract acrylic paintings I work with shapes which have clear reference to organic details in nature.  Lately I have worked with a series of what I call Kitchen Art, obviously inspired by traditional Greek food and all the beautiful Cretan vegetables.  These will be printed as posters (50×70 cm).
